Welcome to metachory.org!
metachory is a program written for Linux that helps users run native, unmodified applications in the cloud. It is designed to be simple and easy to use. Metachory consists of three main components: the client, the server(s), and relay(s).
End-users invoke the client and specify an application with arguments to run. The client connects to the cloud through a relay, finds one or more servers, and executes the application remotely. The application, however, appears to still be running locally. Metachory "projects" the user's local environment into the cloud.
This approach completely eliminates the need to specially compile, configure, or write an application to leverage cloud resources. Existing, unmodified applications can be distributed without any additional effort.
